ITunes 9.0.2 Will Not Complete Installation

    Hello Everyone,

Hopefully someone can help me here. I Just upgraded to Windows 7 Prof 32bit. I split my hard drive into partitions so one is XP and one is Windows 7 so it is a clean copy of windows 7. I am running into an issue where ITunes gets about 3/4 of the way through installing then pops up with a message that explains that it cannot write the specific file (which varies every time I try and install) because I do not have permission to write there. I did use Install as administrator every time I tried to install. but the same problem keeps happening. I also tried to remove everything that ITunes installed such as Quicktime, Bonjore, etc. with the Windows Installer Cleanup to no avail. Also, every time this happens windows also brings up that the sector that ITunes was writing to has become corrupted. I was hoping someone here has ran into the same pitfall that I am.

    Thanks for your help,
    Zac

Might try running sfc/scanow, see if that comes up with anything, then checkdisk. The latter will take quite a while though, if you do from step 8 in the tutorial.

Sorry for the inconvenience everyone. I ran chkdsk from my XP side and uninstalled everything again from the Win 7 side and tried a reinstall of itunes and everything seems to be working. Thanks for the help. Sometimes ya just got to dance the right way and things fix themselves.... haha

    Thanks again,
    Zac
