Disney Mix Stick/Media Player 11

Just got new laptop with Windows 7 and am trying to install daughter's Disney Mix Stick MP3 player. Message coming up saying it needs Windows Media Player 11 to run. Anyone have help for me?

haha, we're all new here

Did both of you try running the program in compatibility mode? Simply right click the program exe and go to properties. Go to compatibility tab and run in compatibility mode for vista sp2 or xp sp3. Also, you can run as admin because obviously, the program is not updated for windows 7. It might not be compatible with account user control. You can also right click the exe and "troubleshoot compatibility".

Best of wishes

Yeah , tried that and.......

no luck. Still get that pesky error. I did get a response from DigitalBlue though........

Thank you for contacting us regarding the quality of Disney/Digital Blue products. Unfortunately, the Mix Central software does not currently support the Windows 7 operating system. At this time Disney does not have plans to create compatible software...........

I can get the music on her player just fine, just can't use the software.......I wonder if I can use my nero or something. Never the less I can just copy n paste the files to her player just fine......she's happy.

Hey, thanks for the tip BTW! Have a good one pal!
