    Cannot install any Google apps

I've got a problem executing the Google app down-loaders, it reads: "Google Update installation failed with error 0x800407c ".

This happens with Earth and Chrome. I've searched for days with no similar features.

    Hi Welcome to SF,

I guess the problem is with Audit Mode

    Follow these Steps
    1. Go to Start > Run and type in the following and then press OK: regedit
    2. Find the following reg key:

The value of 'ImageState' in HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Setup\State

    3. Right click and Export
    4. Type a File name "Regbackup"
    5. Right click the reg key and select Modify
    6. Delete the value then press OK.

    Then try to install it

    Hope this helps

You are Most Welcome. Glad that you got it working
To he Honest i'm not sure what exactly the issue is but one thing i know is that Google Application won't install if computer is running in 'Audit Mode.' according to Google they are investigating on this issue.

Hi! This workaround helped me too! One question, though: Do You have any idea what this Audit Mode is good for? Why was my computer in Audit Mode anyway? Thanx in advance!
