    lil' help MP3 software

Novice here. The Burner software that came with my new Windows 7 PC only allows conversion to WMA and WAV formats when burning CD's to the computer. I would prefer MP3 considering the universal nature of the files.

Do you folks have a favorite - preferably free - burner software I can get my hands on that works well with W7? Or is there some way I can get the MP# format from windows media software?

    Any help would be appreciated...w94

Thanks for the reply. But, I tried just that but my version of that software only has wma and wav in the drop down menu? MP3 does not appear in the choices. Weird right?

    Any further advice?

    Thanks

I think he is using a 3rd party app.
What program are you using to do this?
When pacinitaly said WMP, he meant Windows Media Player

    Thanks for input all.
No I am not using any 3rd party app. The software came with my pre-loaded PC that I purchased at a big box. I am not sure what version of W7 it is (I am not on it now), but will check. I believe I am using the same software (Windows Media) that pacinitaly shows in the screen shot above.
