I seriously had no issues when I removed it from 2 different drives that I purchased in the past using the uninstaller software. But if you have already tried to delete, format, etc...maybe you created some sort of scenario that the software cannot handle.

There has to be a way to format this entire drive to get rid of U3

Some guy over on the U3 forums said that now if the computer isnt even seeing the drive I'm screwed.

    That cant be the case...

This thing is $50, 2 months old, & never even used because of this stupid U3 software.

There has to be a way for the computer to recognize it as a drive again right?

It sounds like the file system is corrupted on the drive now so windows doesn't know what to do with it

maybe time to try some command line fixes ?

first problem is to give the drive a letter so using right click my computer\manage goto disk management and if your drive is there assign it a letter such as F:, G:, H: or I:

If this has worked then goto a cmd prompt window ......

from a cmd prompt type C: to take you to your route drive then type chkdsk I: /f /r

The I: is the letter of your flash drive

The /f Fixes errors on the disk

The /r Locates bad sectors and recovers readable information

let me know if this works ?
