windows 7 IE 8 High cpu usage 100%

I have windows 7, for some reason the ie8 is usually always 100% cpu usage.
I tried system restore, tried resetting the browser to default, removed any add ons or pluggins and disabled everything else. Even tried loading without add on an compatibility mode. It runs slow and lags badly. Firefox is fine.
Ie8 ran great for the first week then just got slow. Even if im doing nothing with ie8 the cpu usage will be high

Mine only jumps crazy high after I try to open a couple of tabs- if I remain on a single tab it behaves.

Then again, I only use it to play games on zone.msn.com, and that only needs a single tab - the games open a new window....
