Acer Problems Hey guys!
I recently upgraded to Windows 7 Home Premium from Windows Vista Home Basic, and I LOVE WINDOWS 7!! It's truly amazing! But when I booted it up, it didn't install the acer applications. Like, it comes with McAfee 90 day Trial, or WinDVD 8 full version. I really want to know, and if someone can help me out, it would be helpful! Thank you!

If you purchased the Windows 7 from MS then the added software that came with your computer on a clean install would be gone... A clean install is usually the way to go as if possible saves you from a lot of other problems. The goodies are put on by Acer (that's how Acer collects a few extra bucks from the sponsors). Your Windows 7 comes from Microsoft - without bloat (as some would call it). | My System Specs | | System Manufacturer/Model Number HP, Dell, Gateway, Toshiba - 4 laptops and 2 desktops OS Vista, Windows7, Mint Mate, Zorin, Windows 8 CPU from 1.6GHz Duo to i7 Monitor(s) Displays 2x HP w2207 Keyboard with trackball - no mices Mouse Trackball mice Hard Drives 5x HDD, 7x SSD, 12x Externals Internet Speed DSL 6000 |

Because I REALLY hate wasted space on my Local Disk. | My System Specs | | System Manufacturer/Model Number Acer OS Windows 7 Home Premium x86 CPU AMD Athlon 64 Memory 3.00 GB ( 2.75 Useable ) Graphics Card ATI Radeon X1200 Series Sound Card Realtek HD Codec Screen Resolution 1280 X 800 Mouse Brown Microsoft Mouse Hard Drives 2 Hard Drives

You would need the installation .exe. Go and Google the programs you are missing. Those that are free, you can install from the internet. But even if those exact programs are not available, there are always similar programs that come for free. but stuff like McAfee I would not use anyhow. Use MSE instead - a lot better. | My System Specs | | System Manufacturer/Model Number HP, Dell, Gateway, Toshiba - 4 laptops and 2 desktops OS Vista, Windows7, Mint Mate, Zorin, Windows 8 CPU from 1.6GHz Duo to i7 Monitor(s) Displays 2x HP w2207 Keyboard with trackball - no mices Mouse Trackball mice Hard Drives 5x HDD, 7x SSD, 12x Externals Internet Speed DSL 6000 |

I use both of them on my new Acer as Mac Afee comes with the laptop, and is a trial version valid for 60days...(after being registred)
MSE is handy and runs smooth in the background and seems light.
Yes i can tell, MSE's running well and detect/repair easily trojan or unwelcome patches.
Mac Afee looks good to me for the integrated cleaner that can be automated. I don't know much about mac Afee but the welcome center is easy to use. | My System Specs | | Computer type PC/Desktop System Manufacturer/Model Number [June 2013] - Full Tower OS Windows 7 Professional SP1 - x64 CPU Ivy Bridge Core i5 K Motherboard Asus H77 Chipset (ATX) Memory G.Skill DDR3 PC3-12800 (16Gb) Graphics Card Sapphire HD 7770 Vapor-X Oc Sound Card SBXi-Fi Xtreme Audio (w/5.1 sound system) Monitor(s) Displays Asus Led 21,5" Screen Resolution 16/9 Keyboard Razer + Razer gamepad Mouse Razer PSU 700w 80+ Gold (ErP Lot6 ready) Case Thermaltake Chaser A71 Cooling Gelid Solutions (PWM Push/pull Fans) Hard Drives Internal:
