    File Share SW ?

I have read a few threads on file sharing software and was looking for some guidance, First off I'm on Windows 7 build 7057 32bit
It is working good for me, i have set up homegroup within my at home network with another windows 7 user in the house and it works well.

I was wondering what software you would recommend for example if i wanted to share files with someone else but they are not in my network with up to a max file size of 2 gigs, other then me uploading them to rapidshare is there a cleaner way to do this that doesn't complicate it

Thanks for any constructive advise I've read many threads on it and I'm not sure what is accurate

    Peace
    John

    Try ...

    https://www.zapr.com/download.aspx#

Zapr is free and lets you create URL links to any files or folders on your PC. You can then send these links to others (via email or IM or YOURNAME.zapr.com) and they can d/load the files or see the folders directly from your PC via any browser. They do not need to register or install software.

You can password protect for private use or leave it open for your blog/website.

Works without any port forwarding if you're/they're behind a router.

This tiny little app changed my life.

    Hope it does yours.

    Rgds.

Well you can use a VPN or run a ftp server or a web server like WWW File Share Pro - An Internet Browser is Enough

Or if you have a live ID (and who doesn't) you could upload to your live space etc. Except the file size is not that big.

I have started using the Windows Live Sky drive to share with my Family in the UK, it makes sharing very simple and you can drag and drop files programs or whatever straight onto the browser and best of all it's private and you select who can access it.

Hmm, maybe not. I know you get 25gb of storage but for a single file, yeah, probably not up to 2gb. You'd probably have to pay for something to handle that size.
