    Windows Live Messenger

When i run windows live messenger, it comes up with two tabs, one displaying my name and status and another for the main window.
I was just wondering if it was possible to get rid of the first tab so that there is only one.
    Cheers

I have noticed this, but there that is the reason why there is no icon on the system tray - to completely close messenger, instead of using the system tray icon just cross off first 'tab'.
There is not a workaround that I know to stop the main program showing as an extra Window on the taskbar.
