I have Acer Aspire laptop with 64 bit Win 7 and am looking for a face recognition software for login (something like Veriface). Does anyone know of any such software that will work on Acer? I tried Veriface but it doesn't install on Acer. Thanks!
Since it is a lenovo only application, it probably is limited to lenovo configurations only
As far as I know, Acer doesn't have a specific facial recognition computer. If your computer didn't come with a facial recognition program, it probably doesn't have one from the OEM (acer).
Research online. Im pretty sure there are some free third party facial recognition software

There are quite a few but none works with Win7 x64.
I can't even install veriface on my lenovo T500. I replaced the HDD because of a premature failure, losing the recovery partition and all the data in the process and when I tried to reinstall it I got a message saying
"veriface is only available for lenovo computers" wtf is up with that. So if there are any alternatives out there I would be interested in knowing about them
I don't know if any of them actually work, but I found a number of returns Googling "windows 7 x64 facial recognition". It sounds like trial and error to me.

update: I can now confirm that this works with my Acer 5740 i5 lappy which is running Windows 7 x64 Home Premium. Took a while for it to recognise my on-board webcam but got there in the end. Works like a charm.

Just tried my Toshiba with win7 Home Prem (x64) with there software and it worked... Always wanted to try it. So now you know it can work with the win7 (x64)... Just need the correct software... GL :)
polarbear.....are you referring to toshiba face recognition software installed in a toshiba machine or have you installed toshiba face recognition software in a different machine...just want to make it clear, because I have a dell inspiron 1564 x64 bit..and I want to try it.
