Error 1603 when installing Adobe Master Collection
I have been having a problem installing Adobe Master Collection (CS4) today. The disc loads just fine and the progress bars get to almost the very end and then I get an error message saying that "One or more components failed to install correctly." I clicked on the "more information" tab and it showed the PhotoShop, Dreamweaver, InDesign and Illustrator experienced Error 1603: Fatal error during installation.
I've Googled and found various articles on the Adobe forums but none of the suggestions seem applicable to Windows 7. I've done everything suggested, I've cleared my temp folders, turned off my anti-virus software during the install, to no avail. One article suggested uninstalling Bonjour, that didn't work either.
Has anyone experienced this type of error during software installs? It's been a frustrating day, especially since I paid a pretty penny for this suite of software.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
