Unexpected Compatibility

Even though the M$ compatibility centre says no, or no information, I have found that:

Microsoft Digital Image Suite 2006
Paint Shop Pro Photo X1
Microsoft Money 2005 UK
Canon CD LabelPrint

All installed and are working OK.

The Age of Empires suites are another matter though.

AoE 1 has sea colour problems
AoE 3 works on the original base installation but stops after an 'update game' download.

Sometimes apps need to be installed in compatibility mode. You do that be right clicking the installer>properties>compatibility>check OS.

As far as AoE is concerned I have tried all compatibility from Win95 through XP SP3 with no joy.

The AoE 1 problem seems to be GC related but ATI are aware of some HD5770 issues and hopefully they will be sorted soon.

AoE 3 is crazy as the M$ compatibility site says OK but upon installation there is a popup saying that it may not work - and for me it's not if I update it
