Asking for help on Window Live Essential Messenger.

Recently i just change to Window 7 and encounter some problem with the MSN Messenger.

Firstly, I notice that my msn icon image is slightly different. The image of my msn icon is show below---> Asking for help on Window Live Essential Messenger.-msnicon.jpg and my messenger does not run when start up, even if i have go to "msconfig" to enable it to run on start-up.

    Can anyone help me?

Also, i want to know can MSN messenger be able to run in the D:/ ?

For the program to start up, Please open Windows Live Messenger and follow to the options. Navigate to the Sign in tab and make sure the first box on the top (Automatically run Windows Live Messenger when I log onto Windows) is checked.

The reason the icon has that little security shield is because your being prompt when it asks you do you want to allow this program etc.. and you can either choose yes or no.

If you'd like you can disable the User Account Control which is not recommended due to security issues.

If you have anymore issues or questions, please reply in the thread. I will assist you further as needed.

Possibly due to the fact they have their User Account Control disabled.

Below I have added a link which can assist you in disabling your User Account Control.
Turn User Account Control on or off

Please be aware I am not suggesting this, as I have mine disabled myself. Disable it at your own risk.

Yes you can actually. Be sure to transfer all files needed over. I suggest uninstalling it and reinstalling it to the new designated location.
