    print program

I need a good print program, one that I can control, not one that controlls me!!
Up to this point I have been using Print Master 10...which has worked very good in the past..for some reason using win 7 it will not install...so I installed Print Master 16 which worked fine for one day, and then it decided it did not like my resolution and used its own and I tried bring it back the way I wanted It messed up my whole resolution...anyhow I want a single program that will work in any resolution that I want, be able to change the size of picture on a page even though there are 6 different photos and edit the views (color, tint, contrast,etc)....print master can do this, but there is other stuff on the program like cards which use...just a simple print program..in other words similar to Print Master but not all the bells an whistles
Anybody out there got any ideas

Not sure exactly what you are looking for here but I assume that print master is one of those guided - project based print programs for things like greeting cards etc.

if you just want a print program depending on your printer the manufacturer may well have a program for basic printing with resize options etc, I know that Epson provide a fair application with their Ink-jet printers.

If you are looking for something with true control you will probably have to look at some form of desktop publishing package - the open source Scribus is one I have used but this does take a while to learn.

Another option would be a modern word processor which has most of the same functions, have a look at OpenOffice

Of course there is also Microsoft's own Office suite with Publisher or word

Barman, you hit the nail on the head,
I do have publisher on tap I tried and it works great, just what I was looking for...it does everything that I wanted...If I were in Manchester I would meet you a pub and buy you lager...I was there 2 years I live in the US
