Straight from the dev's mouth - Thanks Jon!!!

Oh, and it works just as good as the previous Beta - thanks again!

Windows 7 Professional 64-bit

What Im getting at is, it would be nice to have a native 64-bit program rather than a 32-bit program in a 64-bit OS.

Windows 7 build 7077 x64

correct me if I'm wrong but since it is .net. it can be both x64 and x86. dot net is not exactly native (x86 or x64) but the clr (common language runtime) can run it as a x86 or x64 depending on your operating system and the compilation options. but just because a dot net program can run as x64 does not mean it is optimised to do so.

If you look at the processes tab in windows task bar the x86 applications have a *32 at the end of there name yet DF does not.

So DF is a close to native x64 as you can get without programming it in c++ or another native language that compiles into machine code.

For various reasons I am not sure you'll get this request filled - but in particular, b/c of the duality of having to maintain multiple builds that are arch type *and* having to build said builds....

I'll wait for a day and see if Jon responds - if not I'll nudge him to come read your request....

Windows 7 x64

Glad to see I am not alone, based on all the responses to this thread!

I am back to running UltraMon after trying the latest 3.0.3 beta of DisplayFusion, because I would rather have uglier taskbars than have every single program window on the main taskbar. At least UltraMon doesn't have this issue, it only shows programs on their relevant taskbar. The author of DisplayFusion indicated he is working on a fix.

That's b/c this is currently a workaround, as Jon hasn't figured out the fully integrated taskbar yet.

Good news.

Jon has now gotten desktop previews working b/c the latest Beta (which I am using) now integrates with DWM - making it work a *lot* better with Vista and W7.

Check out the screen shot....

Mind you this is another baby step - but it shows that Jon is furiously working on this, and that it would not be unreasonable to expect more goodies, including (fingers crossed) the ability to show only relevant windows on both screens' task bars....

Win7 64 bits FR

Does it use the GPU or the CPU to generate these windows previews?
