    PerfectDisk 10 Pro

I'm using Windows 7 Home Premium 64 bit. When I defrag using Smart Placement and it's done I have a solid black line for just about half of the top line of the drive map. When I put my pointer on it, it says it's fragmented all other squares are not fragmented. Anybody have any ideas what this long black line could be? Black stands for excluded.

Solid black squares are excluded files such as pagefile, hidden system files, or other files that are marked open and cannot be moved. This is perfectly normal. You could always do a boot time defrag to sort these out.

Thank you for your responses. That's sounds like a good answer to me so I guess I'll try a boot time defrag. Have A Great day

I thought I'd attach a picture of what it looks like. I uninstalled and then reinstalled a fresh copy and it's still the same.

The line at the top are excluded fragmented files. The other black blocks are excluded but not fragmented.

The Problem is fixed. I did a boot defragmentation as you suggested, then I did a defragmentation, then I consolidated free space and last I did the smart placement. Thank You for your help and Have A Great Day
