    Icon Viewer

    Hi Brink,

I just tried to install IV, and it didn't install; even in the changed compatibility mode.

Too bad. I could dig changing a folder's color so as to make more important things standout; manilla folders get to be a real bore after 10 or so years at the PC.

Can you give some advice, here, to getting this installed.

    Thanks

    Chipper

    Hello Chipper,

When you install Icon Viewer with the correct 32-bit or 64-bit version as your Windows 7, it only adds a Icons tab when you right click on a file (ex: C:\Windows\System32\imageres.dll) and click on Properties to see the icons in that file if available.

    Hope this helps,

    Brink,

    Why all the BS security?
    Can't access.

    Chip.

I'm absolutely sure I pushed the wrong button. No doubt. That's why I love these evil devices.

They don't list Windows 7 support, will their X64 version work on a Windows 7 64 bit system?
Also, do you have a favorite Windows 7 fan monitoring program, like Speedfan or Everest that you can recommend?

Yep, I use it all the time on my 64-bit and 32-bit Windows 7 installations without a problem. :)

I don't use one, but either one of those are good, or HWMonitor.
