Windows 7 DVD-R Dual Layer Discs Burning Failures Fix.

Quote:
Users of Windows 7 already know that the operating system offers basic DVD burning capabilities. And when I say basic, I mean just that. Customers should not expect anywhere near the flexibility, richness of functionality and customization options of fully-fledged DVD burning solutions. However, when it comes down to the simple task of burning a few files on a DVD, Windows 7’s Windows Explorer is more than capable of getting the job done. The same is valid for Windows Server 2008 R2. According to Microsoft, customers have reported issues associated with burning operations involving a DVD-R Dual Layer disc in both Windows 7 or in Windows Server 2008 R2.

Any updates on this?

My Lite-On LH-20A1L worked prefect with firmware BL02 when burning DLs under Win XP Pro

Even with the latest FW, BL06 and the hotfix it still refuses to burn DLs.

Works fine with single layer.

Thanks.
