WLMessenger is one flaky piece of software

Fresh Windows 7 install. Finally got around to installing Windows Live Mail and Windows Live Messenger. Upon installing WLMess, I configured everything as I had it before.

So, I close the WLMess main window and just have WLMess running in the background (but still a taskbar icon with the little green box showing I'm online).

Strangely, though, when I right-click on the icon in the taskbar (not system tray), when I USED to click "close window" it would close out WLMess (any open windows AND the background task). Now, right-clicking it OPENS the big WLMess window (and adds a taskbar icon as appropriate). I couldn't believe what I was seeing. Thinking I did something wrong, I closed that window and tried again. It OPENED a 2nd window rather than closing the application.

I believe next, I closed it via the taskbar and (taskbar "thumbnail" RED X). On the top of my desktop was an ORPHANED Window Title Bar from WLMess. I had to reopen WLMess and close again to make the orphan part disappear.

I also recall that right-clicking to completely shutdown WLMess worked instantly. Now, for a split second, you can see the MAIN/large window gets opened before shutting WLMess down in totality.

The right-click "close" now works, but it's very weird.
