DVD ripper

I hope this is in the right forum. Sorry if its not.

I am attempting to take all of my dvd's and rip them to my computer so that i can play them through windows media center with my x-box. I purchased clone2go and ripped on movie, which took 30 hours. Thier support said that it didnt work with 64bit. Has anyone used a program that will rip dvd's at high quality that can be read by an x-box and work on a 64bit opperating system.

Find DVD Shrink online... It works fine with my 64 bit Windows 7!

I've read that Xbox wont play VOB/IFO formats but WMC does, so there is an app to convert on the fly called MyMovies but it isnt free... My Movies - Home

DVDFab Platinum may be the program you want.

DvDFab works well. The only thing that I find annoying with iit is when you select the main movie option, it creates a folder called main movie.
I still use shrink now and then, sometimes you need anydvd with it to get past newer protection.

Simply talking about ripping DVD's should be banned in open forum. This is best left kept private among members. We do not want to invite outsiders other then honest members that can cause a problem in the forum. I mess around with this stuff and understand but please, I ask you to just keep this type of posting private.

I am truly sorry if my comments have offended anyone as that was not my intention. I just want to keep this forum safe!

Not everyone who rips a DVD is doing it to steal the content... some of us have digitized our entire DVD collections thanks to WMC, Media servers, and extenders.

Just talking about ripping isnt and shouldnt be illegal on this or any forum!

I stated my peace and respectfully accept the statements of others. I certainly do not wish debate or start an argument by any means, just so there is no misunderstanding. I only mentioned it to help. I do apologize if anything I said upset anyone.

I have experience with this from back in the Dave and Charlie days of SAT.
