Winamp Video Playback

I have been having problems with .mp4 video files I download from Youtube. I can't seem to get it to show videos in Winamp 5 latest. It works with VLC but let's be clear...VLC plays anything and is very reliable. But if anyone can help me with the playback issue in the latest Winamp, straight from the site. I usually use keepvid or file2hd to download to allow me to download the video and I bend up with the converted video which ends up as .mp4 files. Please assist.

It could be due to the codecs used by Winamp, mp4 is quicktime based & VLC might have internal codecs for quicktime.

If you have a problem with software, usually the best place to look is in that software's forums....
