    Please help me !!!! cant install programs

    hi
    i am new here so please excuse me if this is in the wrong section.and sry for my bad english... english isnt my firs language

    ok my problem is that when i want to install programs eg: call of duty modern warfare 2 , vegas 9 pro ... it starts installing but before the real instalation starts it opens a messagebox saying :

    Microsoft Visual C++ 2005 redistributable

    The feature you are trying to use is on a network resource that is unavailable.

    click OK to try again, or enter an alternate path to a folder containing the installation package "vcredist.msi" in the box below

    if i cklick ok it just pops up again

    i know that modern warfare should work on win 7 because a friend of mine also has it on his pc which runs win 7

    here my hardware / software details :
    grafik card ATI 4850
    motherboard sli-m2n Deluxe ( from msi )
    6 gb ram

    win 7 86 bit

    Have you tried removing the Visual C++ runtimes from the Programs and Feature control panel?

    Just a guess.

    Read up at the game forums...some games inorder to fix certain issues may ask you to rip the game from the disk and install that way,due to issues that arise during an install. I know I had somewhat a similar problem with WoW and that was a fix for it. Make sure you wipe your C: drive clean of all files from the game, and the registry keys as well. They to will give errors upon re-installations. Also check to see if the game implores Securom security...if so it may have an issue with the install. Securom has known issues with making games horrible to reinstall.
