Important Note: ObjectDock and Windows 7

    Hi all,

Just posting this in case other people experience the same irritating problem:

I've been using Stardock's ObjectDock launch bar for years now with XP, and thought I'd have no problems with using it on 7 as well... However, it seems I was wrong. As you can see in this post on MS TechNet forums, there is a small issue with running OD under 7: 90% of new windows don't open in front of the currently active window, they open behind it instead, meaning you need to select a flashing taskbar button to view the program you just opened... 'Irritating' doesn't begin to describe it.

There is good news though; for those of us who are used to having that handy hidden shortcut bar along the top or side of the screen, RocketDock works perfectly with Windows 7.

Been using Object Dock for years also and don't have any of the problems with it as you describe... No matter though, enjoy RocketDock...

Maybe only certain versions have this issue then... Since taking off OD, my window focus problem went away. What version are you using? I was using 1.90.

    Hi!
I'm using version "1.90 plus" with "7 x64" and i don't have this problem, but another... Sometimes when i right clic a dock icon (to change it for exemple), all my desktop simply freeze and i can do nothing anymore (no taskbar, no gadget, nothing... ) , except a shutdown with the front panel start button (fortunately).
It was the case yet before i upgrade to "plus"... As i bought it a short time ago, i just hope to be upgraded freely to the next version which will be issued soon (i had this luck with Windowblinds... )

Perhaps this only affects the free version then.... I know that it was ObjectDock that caused that problem for me though, and I find quite a few posts on various forums stating the same thing.

Oh well, the general idea of this thread was just to let people know if they were having this problem with Win7 / ObjectDock that there is an alternative.
