    Hello Pilliboy12,

I do not think that you can use Windows 7 Paint in XP, but these are some great free ones that you can use in XP instead if you like.

Paint.NET - Free Software for Digital Photo Editing

    or

IrfanView - Official Homepage - one of the most popular viewers worldwide

    Hope this helps,
    Shawn

There is a great little PhotoShop clone called introducing Pixia that you can take a look at too - 100% free, and works well.

The Gimp is also one of hte more popular ones, although Paint.NET is growing a fanbase really quickly....

Just tried pixia and it crashes. It also has display issues with the open dialog

    Windows 7 Paint for xp-pixia.jpg

First time I tried to select a file it crashed with window's crash handler popping up, second time the program just disappeared!

You can use paintribbon, its a paint application for XP and Vista which has the ribbon and is made to look like the Windows 7 Paint:)

    Check it out here

the idea is to have windows seven's paint in xp, if it won't work then maybe something that works just like it and resembles it would be ok?

@swarfega, pixia crashes in W7? but pilliaboy12 wants to use something in xp, maybe it works in xp.

@pilliaboy12, have u tried any of the programs suggested? pls help everyone by giving some feedback.
