"trick" a x86 app into recognizing x64 java?

I attempted to install an app today, RipBot, which requires Java. I (of course) have Java x64 installed, but RipBot doesn't seem to recognize it, wanting me to install the x86 Java. Is there any way to trick the app into recognizing the x64 Java, or, if impossible, is there any harm in having both x64 and x86 Java installed simultaneously?

Yeah, it's possible to have both installed at the same time. I have both and I would assume almost everyone else has both as well.
