Windows 7 - Problem installing Pinnacle Studio Ultimate

Having just joined the Forum I'm unsure where I should pose my question so here goes.
I'm trying to install Pinnacle Studio Ultimate Upgrade to Windows 7 and It won't allow me to do that. I'm gone to the Avid site and tried all optional choices to no avail. If anyone can help me in this area it will make my day. The only reason that I purchased the software was to have it work in Windows 7. Avid tech. support is just about impossible to get too. Not knowing exactly what sort of problem your having, I found a couple of things you may want to look at,

When I put in the serial # it tells me that it is the wrong number and it will go no further. I have gone to the Avid site and tried all the options available to me with no good results. That sounds like you are going to need their support with that one, I don't know if this will help but when I was having problems with software accepting a serial number I finally realized I was using the letter O instead of zero. Other than that I don't know what to tell you, Sorry.

i had Studio 10 DC Plus video capture board. it was great but Pinnacle's software was nightmare. all those bugs, updates that barely fixed anything, crashes... i see that after all these years they haven't changed at all.

I have studio 14 ult. installed and working fine. Call up pinnacle and get them to help you, might have to give you another serial.

The problem is that now you need to deal with Avid instead of Pinnacle. Avid doesn't have a tech. support number that I have found..
