Windows 7 - Windows Messenger pops up when I minimize another......

| | Windows Messenger pops up when I minimize another...... I'm using Firefox and whenever I minimize Windows Live Messenger pops up. Is there a way to stop this because it gets ****ing annoying as hell to have to minimize Messenger as well. This happens with almost any program that is running in the background whenever I minimize another program in the foreground. |

| | Right click on messenger and run it in Vista compatibility mode. |

| | Don't know if anyone else has this problem, if I have Firefox open and have it minimised and then go into customise and change something, as soon as I hit OK Firefox pops up again, anyone else had this problem, I've had it with every build so far. |

| | Seems like this might be related to Firefox then. I wouldn't know, I've only been using Chrome and on a rare occasion, IE8. |

| | yes it happens to me also. both the messenger thing and the themes lol it can drive you crazy. thank you so much about the solution! it also solved another "problem" that messenger window is pinned to the taskbar. thank you! |

| Windows 7 Enterprise x64 SP1 | Windows 8 build 7989 | The solution for Vista compatibility solves a number of issues with WLM, but the main reason it pops back up is b/c it was not minimized to the system tray....and thus is not *really* in a minimized state at all, and thus it acts like WMC - if you open another app after WMC, then close that app, if WMC was the last app selected it gets selected again - locking the mouse to WMC again, as well. |
