Professional Tethered Photo software W7 Hi all
To any Pro (or serious amateur) photogs out there.
I'm currently still using XP (as a VM) on one computer for "Tethered shooting" (Camera is a Canon 1DS M3).
Fortunately it still works as a Virtual XP machine
I haven't been able to get any tethered software to work on Windows 7 yet -- anybody else suceeded yet.
Tried the Canon EOS utility -- Not supported for this OS
Tried this in "compatability mode" -- also no go. DSLR Remote Pro - Remote Control/Tethered Operation of Canon EOS-1Ds Mark III, EOS-1D Mark III, EOS-1Ds Mark II, EOS-1D Mark II, 5D, 30D, 400D, DIGITAL REBEL XTi, 20D, 30D, 40D, EOS-1D, EOS-1DS, 10D, 350D, DIGITAL REBEL XT, Kiss Digital N, 300D, DIGI
I need tethered shooting when working in a Studio.
Anyone else had any luck -- doesn't have to be this camera model but any CANON that is "Tetherable". Nikon stuff may work but I'm certainly not switching Camera systems.
Cheers

I've tried both Nikon's and Bibble's (mentioned above) camera control functions with my Nikon bodies and both seem to work as claimed (I do not normally shoot tethered - just tried it to see if it worked). Hopefully, the Bibble solution will work for you. | My System Specs | | System Manufacturer/Model Number home brew OS Win.7.Ult.x64 CPU Intel Core i7 970 Motherboard Gigabyte GA-X58-UD5 Memory 12GB (6x2GB) OCZ Platinum DDR3 1600 Graphics Card Gigabyte GV-R485MC-1GH, ATI 4850, 1GB GDDR3, passive cooler Sound Card (on-board) Speakers - Klipsch ProMedia 2.1 Monitor(s) Displays 2x Dell U2410 (H-IPS) Screen Resolution 1920x1200, 1920x1200 Keyboard Das Keyboard Professional, Logitech UltraX Mouse Logitech G400 PSU PCP&C S75QB Case Lian Li PC-V2010B + EX-H34 expansion HD cage Cooling Xigmatek HDT-1283 heatsink & bracket + Scythe S-Flex SFF21E Hard Drives System = Intel 320 160GB SSD --

Hi all.
Bibble works fine -- will probably go for it until Canon fixes its stuff (Canon is ALWAYS slow at this however -- I think they've just come off Windows 2000).
Cheers
