    LIVE Messenger Minimized To Taskbar

    Hi,

On minimising the LIVE Messenger application it minimises to the lower left part of the Taskbar on my Win7 PC. On my old WinXP machine it would minimise to the lower right hand corner of the screen (System Tray ?)

Is there a way to get the LIVE Messenger program to minimise to the lower right corner of the screen where Volume Control , Anti Virus, and Win7 Notofications programs are minimised ?

    Thx

Type notificatiion in search. Then check the icons that you want to appear in the lower right (notification area)

    richc46,

I have the setting that all notifications are visible, however, the LIVE Messenger program is not on the list ?

    Thx

Do you have it pinned to the taskbar? Right click on where it's minimized on the left and see if you have an option to unpin.

Find the link to Messenger in your Start Menu. Right click on it and select Properties. Then change the Compatibility mode to Vista. Apply and OK it. Now exit Messenger completely and then run it again. Now you will find that clicking on Close etc will minimize it to the right system tray rather than on the bottom.

    Hope this helps?
