    Bluetooth broadcom

After installing the bluetooth driver on my window 7, i was unable to open the setting for the bluetooth device, no screen pop out?

I try 2 different version of driver, and the result was the same, any hint?

    I have the same problem

Bought a Belkin bluetooth dongle which uses the Broadcom driver and I can't do anything with it. As mentioned above, I can't access the bluetooth settings, with both the manager that comes in the CD and the most recent version I've downloaded from the Broadcom website.

I really need to get this working I've tried the dongle in two different installations of Windows 7, with the same results

Have you guys checked that Bluetooth is running as a service?

I had problems with a BT mouse which refused to work/pair etc, and eventually discovered that the Bluetooth background service was set to manual start as opposed to automatic...

You go into the services console... type services.msc into the search box on the start menu, execute it... then scroll down through the list of services... and when you see Bluetooth make sure it is set to automatic start... :)
