SpeedFan 4.38 Released / Full Win 7 Support Quote: This is a very interesting release. It adds full support for a lot of new hardware. AMCC/3WARE users will be happy to see SMART data for all of their EIDE/SATA hard disks. Full Intel QST support has been added too (you need to RUN AS ADMIN on some OS). Support for new SMBuses (like nVidia MCP79 and SiS968) is there. New chips (like the ADT7470 and the ADT7462) have been added and support has been improved for some others. ITE IT8720 identification has been greatly improved. DELL support is now tested on more chipsets. Windows 7 32 and 64 bit has been added and verified. Both the installer and the executable are now digitally signed. A lot of refinements, improvements and bug fixes were applied. Quote: 4.38

Just tried 4.39 and it doesn't work with Win 7!
Anyone else experience this?
I start the program dne it never shows temperatures and I can't even get a menu when I right click on it. | My System Specs | | System Manufacturer/Model Number Home Build OS Windows 7 Ultimate x64 CPU Core i5 760 Motherboard Biostar T5XE (P55) Memory 2x2GB Mushkin PC3-10666 Graphics Card GeForce GTX 460 Internet Speed FiOS 25Gbps down & up |

Hmm, I don't know. It does freeze up for a few seconds sometimes on initialization for me, but always works after that. Could be having problems with your specific hardware, couldn't really say. You could try uninstalling it and reinstalling. I'm using 4.40 Beta 5, you may have success with it, but you have to register with the site to get it. And run it as administrator. SpeedFan Beta Program
And instructions for installing the beta.. In order to run this beta, simply install SpeedFan 4.38, then replace the EXE and then run SpeedFan as usual. | My System Specs | | System Manufacturer/Model Number Airbot 2.0 OS Windows 7 Ultimate x64 SP1 CPU Core i7 920 (D0) @ 4Ghz, *26c idle *65c full load on air Motherboard Asus P6X58D Premium - Sata 6Gb/s - USB 3.0 Memory 12GB DDR3 Corsair Dominator -CMD12GX3M6A1600C8 at 1600MHz Graphics Card EVGA GeForce GTX 480 -Aftermaket Accelero Xtreme Plus cooler Sound Card ASUS Xonar D2X Monitor(s) Displays 1 LG 24" Flatron W2453V-PF 1 Samsung 24" P2450H both 2ms RT Screen Resolution 1920x1080@60hz Keyboard Logitech Wireless MK700 Mouse Logitech Wireless MK700 PSU Corsair HX1000W Case Cooler Master HAF 932 Cooling Case Fans *3 230mm, *1 140mm/CPU - *Tuniq Tower 120 Extreme Hard Drives 1 OCZ Vertex2 180GB SSD

I don't know then, sorry. Is all you're needing it for is temperatures? If so, there's other alternatives. HWINFO32, SIW, Core Temp, Real Temp, GPU-Z. | My System Specs | | System Manufacturer/Model Number Airbot 2.0 OS Windows 7 Ultimate x64 SP1 CPU Core i7 920 (D0) @ 4Ghz, *26c idle *65c full load on air Motherboard Asus P6X58D Premium - Sata 6Gb/s - USB 3.0 Memory 12GB DDR3 Corsair Dominator -CMD12GX3M6A1600C8 at 1600MHz Graphics Card EVGA GeForce GTX 480 -Aftermaket Accelero Xtreme Plus cooler Sound Card ASUS Xonar D2X Monitor(s) Displays 1 LG 24" Flatron W2453V-PF 1 Samsung 24" P2450H both 2ms RT Screen Resolution 1920x1080@60hz Keyboard Logitech Wireless MK700 Mouse Logitech Wireless MK700 PSU Corsair HX1000W Case Cooler Master HAF 932 Cooling Case Fans *3 230mm, *1 140mm/CPU - *Tuniq Tower 120 Extreme Hard Drives 1 OCZ Vertex2 180GB SSD

Airbot,
Thanks for the information. I was hoping to use speed fan because I have used it for a while and like all of it's features.
I've opened a bug with the SpeedFan people, so we'll see if they can help me resolve it. | My System Specs | | System Manufacturer/Model Number Home Build OS Windows 7 Ultimate x64 CPU Core i5 760 Motherboard Biostar T5XE (P55) Memory 2x2GB Mushkin PC3-10666 Graphics Card GeForce GTX 460 Internet Speed FiOS 25Gbps down & up SpeedFan 4.38 Released / Full Win 7 Support problems?
