So, now i understand better about "Bad Sector Allocation" damaged and marked.
Seems EASEUS Partition Manager Home Ed doing the same.

I encounter it with Easeus when testing the RC of 7 month ago (on another machine), after having delete the partition were was Windows 7, it had lets bad sectors on the drive. I'd a real hard time repairing and reinstall all the corrupted apps.
.NET Framework was totally messed up, this was a hell.

Does the Integrated Windows 7 partition Manager in disk management react the same?

Do you mean this bit?

It doesn't "mark a partition as bootable" automagically (whatever that means) . It will update the bcd store to include the new references if you restore a Paragon image of an o/s partition, or use the Copy function on an o/s partition.

It just adds a boot menu entry to the current system bcd store.

That's very useful.

In that specific unusual situation - he didn't want the boot menu added as it was only a temporaray copy.

He could very very easily have removed the entry afterwards. He used another app. to do the copying instead - apparently that other app.doesn't have the added benefit of updating the bcd store.


I'm not sure what he is saying there, so can't say.

I used Partition Wizard on mine and it worked AOK (and is also free)
