MagicDisc vs Daemon Tools Lite? and on x64? DT just released latest version, free DT Lite with Windows 7 beta support, haven't installed it yet. I have MagicDisc.
Just asking about performance, which one is better? Both works on Windows 7 now but which one has less problems? Have been using MagicDisc on Windows 7 because DT didn't support Windows 7, but it's now.
Have been Daemon Tools user since XP . | My System Specs | | System Manufacturer/Model Number Custom Built OS Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit (6.1, Build 7600) CPU Intel(R) Core(TM)2 Duo CPU E8400 @ 3.00GHz (2 CPUs), ~3.0GHz Motherboard ASUS P5-KPL/1600 Memory Kingston ValueRAM 2GB DDR2-800 RAM Retail x2 (Total 4GB RAM) Graphics Card XFX GeForce 9800GTX+ 512MB Sound Card VIA HD Audio rear output Monitor(s) Displays SyncMaster T220/T220G(Digital) Screen Resolution 1680x1050 Keyboard MobileGear KB17 Slim Multimedia Keyboard in Silver Colour Mouse Razer DeathAdder PSU Enermax Tomahawk ETK500AWT Case CoolerMaster Centurion 590 Cooling 5 CoolerMaster 120mm LED fans Hard Drives Western Digital Caviar Black | 750 GB | S-ATA II | 32MB Cache Buffer Internet Speed DL: 1Mb/s | UL: 512Kb/s |

fist off, get rid of magicdisk IMO... hated that thing, and support was not all there, crashed alot of systems, mine included... seems like you have been a lucky one.
I have been a DT user like yourself, my best advice for alternative is poweriso... handles every image, just no support for emulation. Since DT just released this, i shall give it a shot this weekend. | My System Specs | | System Manufacturer/Model Number CUSTOM OS XP/win7 x86 build 7127 CPU Athlon64 X2 DUAL 4200+ 2.21ghz Motherboard ASUS K8 PRO SLI Memory 2GB Dual Chan DDR2 Corsair Graphics Card Nvidia 6800GT Sound Card nvidia Monitor(s) Displays 19' LCD Screen Resolution 1280x1024 Keyboard MS wireless Mouse MS Wireless PSU coolermaster 450 Case SUPERFLOWER Cooling 1 HDD bay fan, 5x80mm Case Fans, AEROGATE II Fan/Temp Hard Drives WD 250, 2x500, 2x1TB IDE/USB

Seems like I'm lucky enough to not get any problems while I have MagicDisc installed lol.
But will uninstall it tonight, I'm DT Lite fan.
By the way I use ImgBurn to burn some image files. | My System Specs | | System Manufacturer/Model Number Custom Built OS Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit (6.1, Build 7600) CPU Intel(R) Core(TM)2 Duo CPU E8400 @ 3.00GHz (2 CPUs), ~3.0GHz Motherboard ASUS P5-KPL/1600 Memory Kingston ValueRAM 2GB DDR2-800 RAM Retail x2 (Total 4GB RAM) Graphics Card XFX GeForce 9800GTX+ 512MB Sound Card VIA HD Audio rear output Monitor(s) Displays SyncMaster T220/T220G(Digital) Screen Resolution 1680x1050 Keyboard MobileGear KB17 Slim Multimedia Keyboard in Silver Colour Mouse Razer DeathAdder PSU Enermax Tomahawk ETK500AWT Case CoolerMaster Centurion 590 Cooling 5 CoolerMaster 120mm LED fans Hard Drives Western Digital Caviar Black | 750 GB | S-ATA II | 32MB Cache Buffer Internet Speed DL: 1Mb/s | UL: 512Kb/s |

Virtual Clone Drive won me over from DT. VCD has support for Blu-Ray images and can set up 15 virtual drives. UltraISO is good. I understand Daemon Tools now works on 7...although my upgrade expired exactly 1 day before the update (not surprised from that company). PowerISO also works completely on 7. Any other image tool either doesn't work or sucks. | My System Specs | | OS Windows 7 (Build 7068) |

Any comments on Power ISO, which I have? So far I have not found any issue with it, but would certainly appreciate feedback on any. | My System Specs | | MagicDisc vs Daemon Tools Lite? and on x64? problems? All times are GMT -5. The time now is 04:45 AM. | |
