Windows 7: Apple Inc. Bonjour.....Goodbye!

Apple Inc. Bonjour.....Goodbye!

Can I delete this?

I no longer have iTunes, or QuickTime. Thought I got rid of it all, but this is still lurking on board.

If I no longer have iTunes, I shouldn't need this for networking. At least that is what I am understanding it is for. Couldn't get much from the literature I found.

It's not some left-over Apple product that Windows needs for some stupid reason, or is it strictly for iTunes and Apple devices? Can I uninstall.

Bonjour allows no-hassle configuration and automatic discovery of devices on a network. This means devices see each other without having to enter IP addresses etc. Apart from Apple, Adobe software like CS3, Skype and Gizmo can also install a Bonjour folder. If you want to uninstall Bonjour, follow the steps in this article:

Thanks, I will maybe do a restore point, just to be safe. I have good, stable network so I don't want to screw anything up right now.

It sounds like uPnP to me.

Seems kind of redundant.

How to uninstall Bonjour Service?
I need to uninstall Bonjour Service but the instructions on this and other sites are outdated. How do I do it? All the instructions I can find are from 2009, or contain broken links to remover tools, or refer to Microsoft Fix-It Tool, which no longer exists (now it's just another useless crap...

Goodbye FF
I used to use FireFox a lot a few months ago. But the odd thing is that if I accidentally try doing a search in the address bar, it sends me to isearch.fantastigames.com which I guess is a browser hijack. I guess my technician got that on the computer by mistake while trying to install software...

iTunes, Bonjour, and You.
I know I hate Bonjour service, and it has a nasty tendency to mess up Windows 7 for all of us that use iTunes. I personally find it a PITA to remove post install, so I thought that a tutorial for installation without it (or mobile device support as well) would be nice. The first step is to get...
