Windows 7: win vai dvd converter

Hi All

Could anyone help me please, this software is driving me mad(Win Avi dvd converter!) I convert an Xvid to dvd, but the final dvd always stutters to play, it's framey, Why would software be on the market that simply doesn't work correctly!!! Or am I doing something wrong? Help!!!!!!!!!!!!
