Syncing two computers together?

Hello, Sevenforums.
I wasn't too sure where I should post this thread, but I have two computers that I'd like to sync together. I'm not talking about where you hook up the two computers with an ethernet cable and just go from there, though.
My two computers are a quad core rig running windows 7 home premium 64 bit, and a dual core laptop with vista home premium. If need be ill post the specs up later.
Is there a program or some kind of software where you can completely sync up two computers so you can use one keyboard and one mouse with them, and go seamlessly from one monitor to the other with the mouse and work simultaneously on both computers?
Thanks,
-Trbewick

Sounds like you want a KVM switch. Have a look here: Newegg.com - KVM Switch, USB KVM Switch, 4 Port KVM Switch, 2 Port KVM Switch, Dual Monitor KVM Switch

I'm not sure I know what you mean by "syncing" your PCs tho

I have a hardware kvma switch. I think what the OP is talking about is network based software that detects when you move the mouse "off screen" and switches the focus, so to speak, to the other machine just with the mouse movement. It probably requires drivers or at least services to be run on both systems. But it is out there. Only problem with that approach is if you have a bit of a network glitch stuff stops working. But if your setup is stable(you don't do stuff like programming for example) then it may be fine.

I've tried a couple of demos but it was a few years ago. Don't recall the names.

Usually you can do stuff like select text on one PC, copy to clipboard, and paste it in applications on the other machine. Some may also support graphical data, but text is definitely common.
