My PC recently crashed and I’m trying download Lime Wire and its telling me “An older version appears to be running.” I’ve done a search and no Lime Wire in my PC.
Can anyone help me out?
Thanks in advance, Scotty13
Open your task manager and look under processes for lime wire... if its there, end the process... however, Ill tell you right off the bat that Limewire/gnutella networks are virus magnets and should be avoided like the plague...

Thanks for your help and the warning. Do you have any recommendations who maybe trustworthy?
No P2P site is really trust worthy. There are a few torrent sites out there that only host legal torrents, but you won't find any music or movies on them.

In Your Basement.
If you don't find it currently running, the program folder may still be there if you previously uninstalled it. Check for that too.
