    Error Installing Font Manager

While trying to install FontAgent Pro 4 on my newly upgraded Windows 7 Home Premium PC I got the following error:

Error 1935. An error occurred during the installation of assembly 'Microsoft.VC80.CRT,publicKeyToken="1fc8b3b9a1e18e3b",type="win32",version="8.0.50727.762",processor Architecture="x86". Please refer to Help and Support.

I'm not exactly sure what this means, except maybe it's a 64-bit compatibility issue?

    Any help would be appreciated.

    Thanks.

Apparently that has to do with Visual C++ 2005.

Take a read through this question and answer thread, I can't seem to find much to help you, but you may want to try update/reinstalling C++ 2005 and then trying to install the program again.

That's weird. Where can you get Visual C++ 2005? I would have thought something like that would already be on Windows 7.

I wrote Insider software and they responded with the following:

"Unfortunately, at this time, FontAgent Pro is not Windows 7 compatible. We are hoping to have an installer available in the next 30 days."

Let's hope so. I would hate to go hunting for another font manager. There are so few good ones out there.
