    Problems with download managers

I just got a new computer with windows 7 home premium and have run into problems with download managers

I tried to set up flashget but it won't let me drag and drop links into the download manager and when I click on them individually it just bings straight away without downloading the archive

I thought it might be a compatibility issue with windows 7 and flashget but I've tried a couple of other download managers now and faced the same problem.

Is there a setting i need to change or if anybody has any advise of insight it would be much appreciated

    Thanks,
    dabo

I'm running IE 8 and I have a rapidshare account so I've been trying to download links from various sites with rapidshare files, I wasn't even able to download an archive of images I had uploaded myself to rapidshare directly from my own account. I've tried a few different download mangers now and even a ie toolbar accelerator meant for downloading and it's always the same: It won't let me drag and drop links into the download manager and even when i do it one link at a time the download manager downloads an empty archive after a second.

I know it's not the links or my rapidshare account because I've tested them by downloading the same links that failed on my pc with my netbook that runs on XP and everything is working fine there, so all I can think is that it's something to do with Windows 7. Any ideas?
    Thanks
