[x64] Java and another PATH-Problem
Heya, i installed Windows 7 in 64 bit variant yesterday (used to XP 32 bit) and experienced two problems.
1) Java is installed (C:/Program files/Java), but my application (Areca Backup) does not find it. The files java.exe, javaw.exe and javaws.exe are present in both System32 and the SysWOW64 folder. C:/Program files/Java/bin is also added to the Environment Variables. Nevertheless, Areca still says "Java not found, do you want to download it?"
2) I installed 7-zip and added the installation Directory (C:/Program files/7-zip) to te Environment Variables, but still can't start it on command prompt (cmd.exe) with "7z". It says the usual error like "is not found as an internal or external program".
Does anybody have an idea how to fix the two problems?
