Pidgin for windows keep disconnecting, can help?

For some reason Pidgin messenger keeps disconnecting MSN all the time.

I have received no help from Pidgin support and scouring the web for answers isn't producing much.

Thank for your help.

Update:

MSN works through Pidgin sometimes and but it also disconnects for no apparent reason. I use an ADSL modem, could it be something in the setting?
