Screensaver occasionally going beserk

I'm using Bubbles and approx every 4 days the screensaver increases in speed to about a zillion mph. My pc runs 24/7. Activation by the mouse always returns me to the desktop with no problems, I just wondered why the occasional massive speed increase.

This appears to be a known bug with no fix yet.

There are several solutions which haven't worked for anyone in the thread but may work for you at bubbles screen saver very fast after sitting for sometime.

Thank you for that link osholt, its somewhat comforting to know that at least its not my set up thats causing it.
Might change my searching technique though - I should have found the link myself.
