Is there some kind of app that can unlock the password of a rar file?

Try RAR Password Cracker - Recovery (crack) of lost RAR/WinRAR passwords.

It might take a while but it'll get the job done.

Good luck, as stated, anything over a few characters will take decades. Try googling the name of the rar, and if you are lucky, you will find the password along with the file. A Guy
