Can't install ubuntu wubi on win7

    Hi everyone!

I've installed win7x32 Ultimate and just love it.
For working reasons I need ubuntu to be installed on my computer also.
I've installed Ubuntu 9.04's Wubi.exe installation on my computer.
Then I needed to change the BCD - I've done it with the program named EasyBCD .
After I changed the BCD suddenly the option of logging into ubuntu disappeard.
Because I am stupid- I didn't do any backup to my BCD before I changed it.
I told myself 'OK then!... lets reinstall wubi.exe with the newer Ubuntu version 10.04!' I've downloaded it and whenever I try to uninstall the 9.04 wubi installation it is writing me an error message:
    Code:
05-17 15:33 ERROR TaskList: Error executing command
    >>command=C:\Windows\System32\bcdedit.exe /delete {4d230aa4-1120-11df-bd59-a4090843b74e} /f
    >>retval=1
    >>stderr=An error occurred while attempting to delete the specified entry.

The system cannot find the file specified.

    >>stdout=

      File "\lib\wubi\backends\win32\backend.py", line 682, in undo_bcd
      File "\lib\wubi\backends\common\utils.py", line 63, in run_command
    Exception: Error executing command
    >>command=C:\Windows\System32\bcdedit.exe /delete {4d230aa4-1120-11df-bd59-a4090843b74e} /f
    >>retval=1
    >>stderr=An error occurred while attempting to delete the specified entry.

The system cannot find the file specified.

    >>stdout=
And I can't install the new Wubi untill I uninstall the last one....

    Can someone please help me?

    Thanx a lot!

Download Revo Uninstaller Free edition or any other uninstalling software. Try to uninstall it from that and after running the programs uninstaller(even if it fails) it will scan the registry and hard drive for leftover files which you can delete. After deleting all files associated with Ubuntu 9.10 you should be able to install 10.04 via Wubi. May I also suggest Linux Mint 9. It includes Mint4Win which can install it just like Wubi. It is based on Ubuntu 10.04, but in my opinion Mint 9 is much better. Just a suggestion, but both Ubuntu and Mint are great OS!
