I don't remember much of the specs of my laptop, I bought it around two years ago. But I wrote down what I remember.

Yes, Restore is on and I do have enough hard drive space to create restore points (about 130GB out of 250GB).
    What do you mean Calander?

How did you fix the problem when it happened to you, MilesAhead?

You can check your computer's system specs by typing "system" in the Start menu search field and clicking "System Information" in the live results.

Haha, I did not know that..
I'm not sure where to look so I exported everything and uploaded it on my dropbox.

That link is broken (looks like you need a Dropbox account to access it) but it's really not hard to get the required information. Expand 'Components' and click 'Display' for example, and the first item should be your graphics card. And so on for the remaining things requested for your System Specs...

I can only see information about my graphic card in there, I don;t see anything about my motherboard?
Here's a screenshot of the error box I get when I try to create a system restore point:

I've seen that error before... try running System File Checker and let me know if anything comes up: SFC /SCANNOW Command - System File Checker

I just ran that and it said it found some corrupt files but was unable to fix them. It then told me details are in the log file. I checked it out and wasn't able to understand anything, and it's 10MB of text!

Well you could post it here but I'm afraid I don't have the know-how to decipher it either :/ Also if you do post the log file, please don't simply enter all the text - attach the text file using the provided attachment feature.

P.S. The preferred method of posting files on SevenForums is by using the built-in attachment feature. In a new Reply (not quick reply) click the paperclip, upload the file, then click the arrow next to the paperclip and select the file to embed it in your post. :)
