cannot save a .pdf file with Internet Explorer 8 in Windows 7 Hello!
I cannot save a .pdf file in Windows 7. I saved the 9.3 version of Adobe Reader, I see the save icon, but when I click it, it doesn't open a window. I can only print the file to Microsoft XPS files. Is there another way to save files in Adobe Reader or maybe a patch for Windows 7?
Thank you in advance. | My System Specs |

Hi,
You should have a PDF Printer or Acrobat Distiller to be able to "print" and have a PDF file.
You can only get a Distiller or PDF printer if you have a full set of Adobe Acrobat Professional installed in your PC or Laptop.
But you can get a PDF printer only. Just Google it and you can download from the internet.
Several PDF printers can be found like these. <- click here. | My System Specs | | System Manufacturer/Model Number SONY VAIO Laptop OS Windows® 7 Home Basic 64bit, Build 7600 CPU Inter Core 2 Duo CPU T6600 @ 2.20GHz Memory 4GB Graphics Card nVidia GeForce G210M Sound Card Realtek HD Integrated Audio Monitor(s) Displays LG TV-1 (NVIDIA High Definition Audio) Screen Resolution 1366 x 768 (Wide) Keyboard Integrated Mouse Synaptic Keypad & A4tech Cordless MOuse PSU Internal Hard Drives 320GB HDD - Internal

It should always "print" mode in order to get a PDF output. | My System Specs | | System Manufacturer/Model Number SONY VAIO Laptop OS Windows® 7 Home Basic 64bit, Build 7600 CPU Inter Core 2 Duo CPU T6600 @ 2.20GHz Memory 4GB Graphics Card nVidia GeForce G210M Sound Card Realtek HD Integrated Audio Monitor(s) Displays LG TV-1 (NVIDIA High Definition Audio) Screen Resolution 1366 x 768 (Wide) Keyboard Integrated Mouse Synaptic Keypad & A4tech Cordless MOuse PSU Internal Hard Drives 320GB HDD - Internal

Thank you in advance. Try opening acrobat reader, then from the edit menu -> Preferences -> left column select "Internet" then untick "Display PDF in browser" in the right pane.
When you open a pdf from the internet now it will open in acrobat reader rather than IE and you should now be able to save it. | My System Specs | | Computer type PC/Desktop System Manufacturer/Model Number doofenshmirtz evil incorporated OS Windows 8 Pro CPU Intel Core i7-3970X Extreme Edition Motherboard ASRock X79 EXTREME11 Memory 32GB (8x4GB) Corsair DDR3 Dominator Platinum Graphics Card 2x 3GB EVGA GTX 660 Ti Superclocked+ Sound Card Creative Monitor(s) Displays 3 x27" Dell & 2 x 23" Dell Screen Resolution 3 @ 2560x1440 & 2 @ 1920x1080 Keyboard Microsoft Ergononic 7000 Mouse Logitech Performance MX PSU 1500W ThermalTake Toughpower Case Thermaltake Level 10 GT Cooling Antec Kúhler H2O 620 CPU Watercooler Hard Drives 240GB Intel 520 Series, 2.5" SSD, SATA III

Hello elsuraid, can you confirm you've got a PDF viewer installed, such as Adobe Acrobat? This will be a setting within the actual program you're using to view PDFs. | My System Specs | | System Manufacturer/Model Number built up OS windows 7 CPU Phenom II AMD Dragon 3.5Ghz Memory DDR3 4GB Graphics Card ATI Radeon 512Mb Monitor(s) Displays HP L1506 Screen Resolution 1152 x 864 Keyboard HP wireless keyboard Mouse HP Optic Hard Drives WDC 1 TB SATA-II Green Power Internet Speed 1GB |

Yes, I have Adobe Acrobat Prof. 8 installed on my laptop (complete set, including distiller).
All Adobe PDF files will automatically shows on thumbnail mode along with the rest of the files on My Documents Folder.
If I want to print any files and I want it i PDF format output, I will just select the Acrobat Printer (distiller will run when you press print) and PDF format will be the the outcome instead of printing on any printer installed in your system. ( see image here).

Hello!
I'm not trying to print a .pdf file. I can already do that. I just want to save it. I see that the PDF printer converts files to .pdf, which is useless, since I already have a PDF file. Do you have other ideas?
