Can't stop windows live from booting up during computer start

Whenever I log onto my Hotmail account it automatically opens Windows Live Messenger and it starts whenever I start my computer. I have contantly used the SYSTEM CONFIGURATION tool to go to startup programs and uncheck Windows Live messenger so it doesn't start up with my computer.
This Works but then when I go to open My Hotmail account again, Windows Live mesenger opens again and In order to stop it I have to go back into System Configuration.

How can I stop This Cycle. For more info this only happens on my 64bit operating system . I have an older laptop that runs on 32bit and I never have a problem with this happening.

    Hello Odyn,

Double check in Windows Live Messenger to make sure that you have this unchecked in Tools - Options.

In addition, double check using each method in the tutorial below to see if you may have a msnmsgr.exe entry in any of the startup programs location. If you do, then you can delete it to hopefully stop it from starting at startup.

    Hope this helps,
