    MSN 9 freezes

This has only started happening with the RC release, it was ok on 7100. Ocassionally MSN will freeze and I cant use it for about a minute then return to normal. Its not regularly ocurring but happens more than Id like it to.

I have the MSNPlus addon and a-patch installed. Oh and I have the logs going to D: instead of C: which is a raptor 36gb drive.

Just checking, you know that 7100 is the RC don't you?

And yep, it is a strange one. I haven't had a single glitch with my messenger install.

Have you tried a repair install or just re-installing it all together? (msn that is)

    Yeah I do

Im beginning to think that it might be because Windows 7 has installed generic Microsoft motherboard drivers instead of the proper ones by Intel (see my new thread in drivers section).

    Oh man..

I'm having a lazy as hell day today :) give us a link for your other thread. LOL

I've heard alot of people say to use the 7 driver base unless your manufacturer has released beta drivers for 7.

However i always use the most recent vista drivers that i can find, and try to install them normally before doing compatibility mode.

    *Edit*

Had i actually looked who started the thread i wouldn't have asked if you knew that 7100 was RC but

This has only started happening with the RC release, it was ok on 7100
threw me off when i saw it..
