Any Music Software Experts tell me what this means ?

I am using Wavelab Version 6.11 from Steinberg and I am getting this error when trying to use some functions in it. It all works fine in my XP Pro.

    Anybody have any Ideas?

I use Sonar and Soundforge and have found that if I set it to run in compatiblity mode for xp, and and when I start the programs I right click and run as administrator I have alot less errors. Actually if I don't run as admin vst effects are not seen and it wants me to register the software (which I have done). But works like a dream when I run as admin. You might want to give that a try.

You might try just running as admin first and see what happens without xp mode. I had to reset some audio and midi stuff the first time I ran as admin, but I lost no saved work.

Also make sure that your anti virus is not interfearing (maybe test with live protection turned off) Also with an error 1224 check and make sure that you don't have regular
automatic backup that runs on the files you are working with. Hope this helps some :)

I have Sonar 8.5.3 PE and it runs OK in my Win 7 64 bit system, but there are a couple of included plug ins that do not work with the 64 bit version. I'm not running as Administrator either.
But, there are some older software that will not run in the native Win 7 mode and in those a compatibility mode MAY allow it to run. Keep in mind that Vista/Win 7 handles some audio functions differently than XP thus even if you run in an XP compatibility mode it may still not work properly.

Have tried as Administrator and in XP mode and still get the same error Not to worry I can still do all I want it XP I guess my excitement about it working in Win 7 64 was a little premature

It seems that the reason I was having problems was the new Kaspersky 2011 suite as I had some problems with other programs too. After pausing it's protection all worked OK again, so I have un-installed it and reverted back to Kaspersky 2010 suite which I know works fine after testing it today :)
