    Driver Easy

I recently installed Driver Easy on my computer, i was wondering...should i download every driver that it tells me i need? There's a huge list of drivers that it says i should download, should i get them all or is it not needed?

    things like:

    intel universal host controller
    ricoh sd bust host adapter
    ricoh xd picture card controller

    and a few more

    thanks guys

You can, but be sure to make a system restore point before installing anything...

I'm from the "if it aint broke, don't fix it school". Unless I'm having a problem, I'm slow to mess with the drivers. I've used some of these driver updating programs before and found that often they download wrong versions for my hardware. I'd at least check with the manufacturer of the device you want to update and see if they recommend the new driver for your device.

Others may disagree, but I wouldn't let any software automatically scan and update drivers.

If you wish to update them, go to the official site for your hardware and get them directly from there.
This way you know what you're getting & that its the correct version.

Thanks for the fast replies guys, i appreciate the help. I guess you're all right, i'll leave these alone for now. Nothing seems to be wrong with my computer other than the quickplay buttons on my laptop not working, i downloaded the drivers for them and still nothing. I'm really not too sure how to go about fixing this problem.

    Have a good weekend everyone.
    peace

You need the exact model number of your laptop as there is more than just a few in the dv2500 series,

HP Pavilion dv2500 Entertainment Notebook PC series - Download drivers and software - specify product name - HP Business Support Center

It would probably be a good idea to make sure you have the "let me know which updates are available before downloading" option checked and take note of which ones you decide to install. And as Tews said, make a restore point.

It's not always a good idea to get all updates immediately. On some of the less critical ones, I like to wait about a week & see if any problems surface.
